do i or dont i?

I have had an idea. I have no idea where to even start with said idea. I know one person who may be able to help me out with said idea. The problem? he's the one person i dont wanna ask for help. We have 'history' and i know for a fact that he will think 'coffee and a chat' will mean 'date'. Plus the fact that he and i didn't end very well doesn't help the situation. Ok i will look on the internet and try to find what i need there and then if that fails, he will be my last choice.
